Is it free to post an ad?▾
Yes! Every registered user gets 5 free ad slots. Each free ad is valid for 14 days and can be reposted up to 4 times. For more ads or longer validity, you can upgrade to one of our premium packages.
How do I create an account?▾
Click 'Register' at the top of the page, fill in your name, email and password, then verify your email address. You can also sign up with Google or Facebook.
How do I post an ad?▾
Log in, click 'Post Ad', fill in the title, description, category, location, price and upload up to 10 photos. Your ad will go live after a quick review (usually within 1–6 hours).
Buying & Selling
How do I contact a seller?▾
Open the ad and click 'Chat with Seller' to send a message directly within Sokify. You can also view the seller's phone number once you are logged in.
Is it safe to buy on Sokify?▾
We encourage safe trading practices. Always meet in a public place, inspect items before paying, and avoid sending money in advance. Read our Safety Tips for more guidance.
Can I negotiate the price?▾
Yes. If the seller has enabled negotiation, you will see a 'Negotiable' badge. You can use the 'Make an Offer' feature to propose a price directly in the chat.
How do I know a seller is verified?▾
Verified sellers display a blue shield badge next to their name. This means they have submitted their national ID and it has been reviewed by our team.
Packages & Payments
What packages are available?▾
We offer several packages starting from the Free plan (5 ads) up to Diamond Pro 200 (200 ads). Paid packages include priority listing, featured placement, and extended validity.
How do I pay for a package?▾
You can pay via M-Pesa, Visa or Mastercard. On the Packages page, select your plan and follow the payment instructions. Payments are processed securely.
When does my package expire?▾
Package validity depends on the plan you choose — typically 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. The exact expiry date is shown in your dashboard under 'My Account'.
Can I get a refund?▾
Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please review our Refunds & Returns Policy or contact support@sokify.co.ke within 7 days of purchase.
Account & Settings
How do I verify my identity?▾
Go to Dashboard → Verify Details. Upload your national ID (front and back) and proof of address. Our team will review your submission within 24–48 hours.
How do I reset my password?▾
On the login page, click 'Forgot password?' and enter your email. You will receive a reset link within a few minutes.
How do I delete my account?▾
Contact us at support@sokify.co.ke with your request. We will process account deletions within 14 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Why was my ad rejected?▾
Ads may be rejected if they violate our Terms & Conditions — for example, posting prohibited items, duplicate listings, or misleading content. You will receive an email with the reason.
Safety Tips
How do I avoid scams?▾
Never pay before seeing the item. Be wary of prices that seem too good to be true. Meet in a busy public place during daylight hours. Do not share your M-Pesa PIN or bank details.
What should I do if I encounter a scam?▾
Report the listing using the 'Report' button on the ad page, and contact us at support@sokify.co.ke. We take all reports seriously and act quickly.
