Copyright Infringement Policy

1. Our Commitment

Sokify respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users to do the same. We take copyright infringement seriously and will respond promptly to valid notices of alleged infringement.

2. What Constitutes Infringement

Copyright infringement occurs when a user posts content — including images, text, logos, videos, or other material — that they do not own or do not have permission to use. Common examples include:

• Using a photographer's images without permission in an ad listing.
• Copying product descriptions verbatim from another website.
• Reproducing logos or brand assets without authorisation.
• Posting content that belongs to another user of the Platform.

3. Reporting Infringement

If you believe your copyrighted work has been posted on Sokify without your permission, please submit a written notice to support@sokify.co.ke with the subject line "Copyright Infringement Notice". Your notice must include:

1. Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
3. The URL or specific location of the allegedly infringing content on our Platform.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf.
6. Your electronic or physical signature.

4. Our Response

Upon receipt of a valid infringement notice, we will:

• Review the notice and the alleged infringing content.
• Remove or disable access to the content if it is determined to be infringing.
• Notify the user who posted the content that it has been removed.
• Respond to you confirming the action taken, within five (5) business days.

5. Counter-Notice

If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to support@sokify.co.ke including: your contact information, identification of the removed content and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.

6. Repeat Infringers

Sokify operates a strict repeat-infringer policy. Users who are found to have repeatedly posted infringing content will have their accounts permanently suspended without refund.

7. Platform Content

All original content on the Sokify Platform — including our logo, design, interface, and marketing materials — is the property of Sokify and is protected by copyright. Reproduction or use of our content without written permission is prohibited.
