EAST AFRICA PRODUCTION AND SCHEDULING COORDINATOR About This Opportunity Sokify is seeking an experienced production planning professional to take on a pivotal coordination role across our East Africa operations. This position sits at the heart of our supply chain, ensuring seamless execution of crop production plans across three strategic locations in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Tanzania. As Production and Scheduling Coordinator, you'll be responsible for planning and managing all production-related activities from field operations through processing. Your work will drive transparency across the region and ensure that crop plans are executed with precision and accountability. What You'll Be Doing You will oversee end-to-end crop plan execution for the East Africa region, managing critical workflows including crop planting timelines, quality testing schedules, harvest coordination, delivery logistics, and processing operations. Your core responsibilities include: Planning and scheduling production activities across all three sites with a focus on creating complete visibility and transparency in crop plan execution across locations. Working closely with country production leads to generate accurate crop yield forecasts and achieve 95% adherence to established crop plans. Partnering with Field Mission teams to develop comprehensive delivery plans and attain at least 95% harvest adherence rates. Coordinating timely field sampling for SNP testing to meet defined turnaround times, ensuring results are available before harvesting begins. Collaborating with the in-season planning team to coordinate processing plans and maintain Processing Plan Adherence of at least 95%. Liaising with the East Africa procurement lead to ensure all production consumables are available in line with crop forecasts before campaigns commence. Managing KPI reporting for Tier 3 meetings and contributing to Sales and Operations Planning and Sales and Operations Execution processes. Overseeing seed movement from production warehouses to finished goods facilities. Ensuring inventory visibility across SAP in coordination with Site Production Coordinators. Delivering weekly production status reports to identified stakeholders every Monday. Maintaining comprehensive planning and scheduling records in compliance with QMS management systems. Ensuring full compliance with ISO9001:2015 quality assurance standards and management system requirements. Providing valuable insights and information on planning activities to support decision-making across the organization. Participating actively in 5WHY problem-solving exercises to identify corrective and preventative actions. Supporting the implementation of site safety programs and leading Environmental, Social, and Health initiatives in line with ISO45001 standards. Adhering to all applicable legislation, safety policies, and organizational procedures. Your Background You bring at least 10 years of hands-on experience in seed manufacturing operations, management, or production planning. Your educational foundation includes a bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, engineering, or a related field. You demonstrate strong proficiency with MS Office tools including Excel, email, Word, and Project management software. You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence others positively and work flexibly across different areas and functions. You're results-driven, capable of working independently while contributing effectively to team efforts. You establish clear direction, make timely decisions, and communicate fluently in English. ISO training is desirable but not essential. Working Relationships You'll operate within the Resource Mission Squad and connect with the End-to-End Mission Team, Production Squad, Trade and Compliance Squad, HSE Squad, Field Mission Team, One Management System Squad, and Planning Mission.
