We are now recruiting motivated and qualified English Teachers to join our dynamic academic team at our Nairobi campus and play a key role in student success and achievement.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As an English Teacher with us, you will:
Deliver engaging English lessons using the school's structured lesson plans and the proven SABIS teaching methodology
Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with provided pacing charts where applicable
Create dynamic and interactive learning experiences that foster student engagement and academic growth
Assess student work through marking examinations and assignments according to departmental timelines and protocols
Monitor individual student progress and collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department to address academic or behavioural challenges
Establish an inspiring and organised classroom environment where students can learn effectively
Offer targeted academic support to students who need additional help achieving their learning goals
Guide students through external examination preparation with structured revision sessions and practice using past papers
Supervise examinations to ensure integrity and proper conduct throughout the assessment process
Actively participate in school community activities including open days, sports events, and other school-organised functions
Fulfil additional school duties such as class coverage, student supervision, testing administration, and other tasks as needed
Engage in ongoing professional development and training to deepen your understanding of the SABIS Educational System and refine your teaching practice
Complete other assigned duties and projects as directed by school management
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this position, you should have:
A Bachelor of Education degree with English specialisation or an equivalent teaching qualification
Native-level proficiency in English
Current SACE registration
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Strong classroom management and organisational capabilities
A genuine passion for student learning and educational excellence
