THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Mechanical Technician, you will serve as both a preventative maintenance specialist and continuous improvement champion. Your expertise will ensure our production equipment runs at peak efficiency while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. Your diagnostic capabilities will enable you to interpret mechanical drawings, troubleshoot equipment issues, and execute maintenance safely across basic and complex systems.
Machinery safety compliance falls squarely within your purview—you'll ensure all equipment meets Unilever standards through rigorous maintenance and ongoing improvements. You'll safely isolate machinery from all utilities including compressed air, electricity, steam, and product lines, with full competency in LOTOTO procedures. Your commitment to safety extends across all workplace hazards, waste reduction, and environmental responsibility, while maintaining unwavering focus on quality standards and brand protection.
You'll leverage performance data to identify production losses, apply cost deployment methodology, and champion the zero-loss concept. Your problem-solving approach will utilize appropriate tools and techniques to eliminate recurring issues. Leadership skills will shine as you promote team development through clear communication and example-setting. Additionally, you'll demonstrate business awareness by understanding market demands and the role innovation plays in company growth.
