NEWS PRESENTER (2 POSITIONS) AT GIRWA RADIO Company: Girwa Radio Program Type: Internship/Volunteer Duration: Six (6) Months ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Girwa Radio is actively recruiting two News Presenters to join our dynamic communications team. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring broadcast professionals to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced media environment while covering stories that matter to our communities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As a News Presenter, you will be responsible for: Covering local and regional sporting events with accuracy and enthusiasm Conducting engaging interviews with athletes, coaches, and sports officials Preparing and delivering compelling sports news bulletins across our airwaves Providing live sports commentary during key matches and tournaments Producing in-depth sports features, interview segments, and analysis programmes Supporting grassroots sports development initiatives within the community REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS You should possess: A Diploma or Degree in Journalism, Sports Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field Genuine passion for sports and current affairs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in live broadcast delivery and sports reporting Strong interviewing and research abilities WHAT WE OFFER Upon successful completion of your internship or volunteer placement, you will receive a Certificate of Internship/Volunteer Service.
