POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Programme Finance and Reporting Analyst to join our team in Nairobi. In this role, you will provide essential financial oversight, analysis, and reporting support for our programmes, ensuring robust budget management and compliance with funding requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will manage financial data across our programmes, producing comprehensive reports and analyses for stakeholders. Your expertise will drive budget planning, monitoring, and variance analysis while ensuring accuracy and compliance with donor requirements. You will work with enterprise systems to track fund utilization, prepare financial forecasts, and support audits and financial controls.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
An advanced university degree in Administration, Accounts, Finance, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree combined with two years of relevant professional experience will be considered.
You must hold current certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent professional qualification.
Additional certifications in Microsoft Data Analysis and Advanced Financial Modelling are mandatory.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
You need a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in Project Administration, Finance, and Budgeting. Proven expertise in budget planning, analysis, and monitoring is essential.
Demonstrated proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning systems, specifically SAP (including Grantor and Fund Management modules) is required. You must have strong experience with Business Intelligence reporting tools and Power BI.
Experience managing GEF (Global Environment Facility) projects is essential.
A minimum of one year of direct experience in data analytics or related fields is desirable.
CORE COMPETENCIES
Advanced accounting knowledge, budget administration, financial planning and forecasting, financial controls, accounts auditing, and analytical problem-solving. Strong proficiency with financial information systems, database management, and reporting tools is essential.
