PROGRAMME OFFICER – WEAVING PEACE About Interpeace Interpeace is a leading international peacebuilding organization dedicated to supporting locally driven peace initiatives across the globe. The organization works in close collaboration with local partners, community leaders, civil society organizations, government bodies, and international stakeholders to design and implement tailored peacebuilding programmes that reflect the unique needs and contexts of each society. As a strategic partner of the United Nations, Interpeace operates from its Geneva headquarters with regional offices worldwide and maintains a strong commitment to ensuring that peace processes are community-centered and sustainable. The Opportunity Interpeace is seeking a Programme Officer to support the implementation of the "Weaving Peace Across Generations and Borders" initiative. This innovative project operates across Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia in partnership with local organizations and aims to develop inclusive, community-driven approaches to prevent and counter violent extremism while strengthening peace, resilience, and stability in the Mandera region and surrounding communities. Your Role As a Programme Officer on the Weaving Peace team, you will play a key part in coordinating and supporting the delivery of peacebuilding activities that bridge communities, civil society, government institutions, and international partners. You will work directly with local teams and organizations to ensure programmes remain responsive to community needs, culturally appropriate, and aligned with broader peacebuilding objectives. Your contributions will help create meaningful pathways toward sustainable peace and conflict prevention across this critical region.
