ABOUT THE ROLE
Join Kempinski Hotels as a Sales Account Manager and drive revenue growth across your assigned account portfolio. In this dynamic position, you'll balance strategic account management with new business development, working to exceed revenue targets while expanding market share. Your performance will be measured directly against revenue goals, with flexibility to adapt to evolving hotel priorities and market opportunities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage and nurture key accounts within your assigned territory or geographic area to maximize revenue, hit personal targets, and strengthen our competitive positioning. Identify and pursue new business prospects to build a robust pipeline of future revenue. Conduct property site inspections and familiarize clients with all hotel amenities and capabilities. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our competitive landscape to position Kempinski strategically.
Execute timely contract negotiations using SMART contracting principles to optimize pricing and yield during annual rate discussions. Follow up on tentative bookings systematically to convert pipeline into confirmed revenue. Maintain detailed records and update the OPERA contact database continuously.
Attend industry events including trade shows, sales blitzes, and workshops within your markets to build relationships and generate leads. Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Director of Sales & Marketing to shape annual sales strategies and contribute budget forecasts based on account performance data. Execute all sales activities within approved cost parameters. Leverage cross-selling opportunities across other Kempinski properties. Adhere to all corporate standard operating procedures, company sales vision, and hotel policies regarding fire safety, hygiene, health and safety standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Kenyan citizenship is required. A university degree or diploma in a business-related field is essential. You'll have at least two years of experience in a similar sales role, preferably within a four or five-star hotel environment. You're comfortable working in multicultural settings and communicating across diverse teams. You possess strong computer literacy relevant to sales operations and database management.
