SOKIFY JOBS: SURVEILLANCE NETWORK CLINICAL COORDINATOR GOLDBELT, INC. POSITION OVERVIEW This role is contingent upon successful award of a contract currently under bid. Goldbelt Apex, part of the Healthcare Technology Transformation Group, is a data-driven organization committed to excellence in process and quality across all operations. As healthcare IT specialists, Apex builds systems enabling seamless communication and data exchange across healthcare organizations, devices, and platforms. We are recruiting an experienced Surveillance Network Clinical Coordinator to lead coordination and execution of infectious disease surveillance activities across multiple sites throughout Africa. This position ensures surveillance operations, specimen management, protocol implementation, regulatory compliance, and clinical coordination activities run smoothly while advancing WRAIR-Africa's biomedical research mission. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate surveillance operations spanning multiple clinical and laboratory facilities across the region. Lead implementation of infectious disease surveillance protocols and ensure protocol adherence at all participating sites. Monitor subject enrollment progress, specimen collection procedures, data quality standards, and laboratory workflows to maintain operational excellence. Manage the complete specimen lifecycle including processing, storage, shipping, and tracking across the surveillance network. Maintain surveillance databases and comprehensive project documentation to support ongoing research operations. Provide direct support to Principal Investigators with protocol implementation and study execution activities. Handle IRB submissions, continuing reviews, and all required regulatory documentation. Facilitate communication between laboratories, clinical sites, and Government leadership to ensure coordinated operations. Participate actively in outbreak investigations and surge surveillance activities when needed. Develop technical reports, surveillance summaries, and project documentation for stakeholders. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Biological Sciences, Clinical Research, or a closely related field. Bring minimum two years of experience supporting infectious disease surveillance, clinical research, or laboratory operations. Demonstrate proven experience coordinating research protocols and clinical studies. Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Subjects Protection is essential. You should have substantial experience collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary research teams. Frequent travel throughout surveillance sites across the AFRICOM area of responsibility is required. You must successfully complete a Tier 1 National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or applicable host-nation equivalent during onboarding. ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES Excellent organizational abilities, communication skills, and demonstrated leadership experience are fundamental to success in this role. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Candidates with background supporting WRAIR, WRAIR-Africa, HJF/HJFMRI, USAMRD-A, USAMRU-K, GEIS, clinical surveillance networks, laboratory research, epidemiology, or international public health research are strongly preferred. DESIRED SKILLS Clinical research coordination, surveillance activities, epidemiological analysis, protocol coordination, specimen management, GCP compliance, human subjects protection, laboratory operations, and infectious disease expertise are all valued.
