Delivery Head

DELIVERY HEAD – TELECOM (OSS/BSS) Syncarp is recruiting an experienced Delivery Head to lead telecom operations support systems and business support systems projects for a global IT services organization. This role is based in either Nairobi, Kenya or Johannesburg, South Africa, and requires a minimum of 15 years in IT services delivery. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a seasoned delivery leader who can take charge of complex telecom OSS/BSS initiatives from conception through full implementation. You'll report directly to senior leadership and act as the primary point of contact for high-level client issues. This is a strategic position combining hands-on project leadership with broader account management responsibilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead all phases of telecom OSS/BSS project and program delivery, including planning, execution, implementation, and post-launch support operations. Oversee delivery scope, timelines, budgets, quality standards, risk management, and contractual obligations while managing P&L accountability. Serve as the trusted relationship owner for key client stakeholders and address escalations requiring senior-level intervention. Build, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary delivery teams operating across different locations and functional areas. Partner with sales, solutions, product, and operations divisions to support proposal development, account transitions, and revenue expansion initiatives. Create and embed delivery governance frameworks, reporting structures, and continuous improvement methodologies. Proactively identify delivery threats and coordinate resolution efforts between client teams and internal stakeholders. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR You bring approximately 15 years of IT services experience with substantial involvement in customer-facing delivery leadership. You possess proven expertise delivering telecom projects and programs in the OSS/BSS space. You've successfully managed large teams, led high-stakes complex engagements, and built relationships with senior client executives. You demonstrate clear ownership of delivery performance, financial results, and quality standards. You excel at communicating complex concepts, negotiating solutions, strategic planning, and solving multifaceted problems. You are either currently based in Nairobi or Johannesburg or willing to relocate to one of these locations, with local candidates preferred.
