FRACTIONAL FUND CFO About Sokify Sokify is Kenya's leading online marketplace, partnering with Allied Talent Partners to connect skilled professionals with high-impact opportunities across Africa. About the Opportunity Our client, a private credit fund dedicated to climate adaptation and resilience investments throughout Africa, is seeking a Fractional Fund CFO to lead the establishment and strengthening of financial management and investor reporting frameworks. This is a critical role as the fund transitions from first close into active deployment phase. You'll be tasked with building institutional-grade financial governance, ensuring reporting accuracy, and establishing robust operational infrastructure. Working alongside the internal team and external fund administrator, you'll establish the financial foundations that enable institutional-quality management and stakeholder confidence. What You'll Do As Fractional Fund CFO, you will report directly to the Investment Lead and Internal Leadership Team. Your core deliverables include: Design and implement an institutional-grade investor reporting framework complete with templates, data flows, and review processes that align with private credit fund standards. Establish and validate NAV calculation methodologies, including valuation approaches for private credit instruments and reconciliation processes with the fund administrator. Develop and formalize fund-level financial policies encompassing valuation policy, FX hedging framework, and risk management guidelines. Build and document comprehensive end-to-end financial reporting processes, including quarterly investor reporting packs, underlying data requirements, and governance controls. Define and implement oversight mechanisms for the fund administrator, including setting reporting standards, enhancing output quality, and building internal and external team capability to sustain these processes long-term. What We're Looking For You bring proven experience serving as CFO or in a senior finance leadership role within an investment manager, with a demonstrated track record in private markets and a strong preference for private credit expertise. You have a solid history overseeing investor reporting and fund-level financial operations, and you've successfully worked with fund administrators to improve reporting quality and processes. Technical expertise is essential. You possess deep understanding of private credit structures, including NAV calculations and investor reporting methodologies. You're capable of designing and implementing financial governance frameworks covering valuation, risk, and FX management. Your grasp of fund finance operations, controls, and reporting standards is strong, and you can assess and enhance third-party administrator performance and financial systems. Beyond technical skills, you demonstrate strong judgment and the ability to operate independently within lean, high-growth environments. You communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and external service providers, maintain meticulous attention to detail, and are committed to accuracy and quality. You excel at guiding, influencing, and building capability across stakeholders without relying on direct authority.
