The company actively invests in employee growth and seeks individuals who thrive in collaborative settings, drive meaningful change, and value a people-first approach.
THE ROLE
Working within the Payment Integrity Department, you will serve as a Fraud Analyst supporting Cigna International's commitment to affordability. This position is fundamental to identifying and preventing fraudulent, wasteful, and abusive expenses globally while providing essential support to the Payment Integrity FWA Team with client reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities
You will manage team communication channels and direct inquiries to appropriate stakeholders. As the initial review point for potentially fraudulent claims, you will identify claims exhibiting signs of waste and abuse. Your research and analysis will determine whether claims warrant further investigation for fraudulent activity. You will contact providers to request supporting documents and verify information while maintaining rigorous documentation and process standards.
Collaboration is central to this role. You will partner with cost containment teams across different geographies to exchange best practices and share FWA claiming schemes identified by Payment Integrity teams in other locations. You will participate in process improvement initiatives and work with the Data Analytics team to develop and build future FWA trigger automation systems.
You will also compile evidence and produce investigation reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring team savings are tracked and reported with accuracy.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You bring a minimum of two years of experience within health insurance fraud or payment integrity environments, with strong preference given to fraud investigation backgrounds. Your knowledge encompasses claims coding, regulatory requirements, and medical policy. A medical or paramedical qualification is highly valued.
Your professional attributes include exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to quickly master new and complex tasks. You possess a critical mindset with proven ability to identify cost containment opportunities. Your communication skills are strong, both written and verbal, enabling you to work confidently with internal stakeholders across functional teams.
You manage multiple priorities effectively while delivering results under tight timelines. Your flexibility enables productive collaboration with global teams across varying time zones. Fluency in English is essential, with additional foreign language fluency representing a significant advantage.
WHY CIGNA HEALTHCARE
Cigna offers competitive compensation paired with private medical insurance coverage. The work environment is multicultural and hybrid, allowing flexibility in how you work. You will contribute directly to healthcare affordability initiatives while engaging with global teams committed to meaningful impact in the healthcare sector.
