GRANT STRATEGY MANAGER Solar Panda ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION Solar Panda is a rapidly expanding loan-to-own solar home system company making clean energy accessible across Kenya, Zambia, Senegal, and Benin, with plans to enter additional African markets. The company has distributed over 500,000 solar systems, delivering reliable electricity to more than 3 million people. Founded on the conviction that off-grid households deserve affordable, dependable energy solutions, Solar Panda operates as a lean, agile team united by a shared commitment to meaningful impact. THE ROLE Solar Panda seeks an experienced Grant Strategy Manager to develop and oversee the company's grant funding pipeline. This position goes beyond traditional grant writing to serve as a strategic leadership function. You will identify promising funding opportunities ahead of the curve, build and maintain strong relationships with program officers and decision-makers, and ensure Solar Panda stands out competitively within the development finance ecosystem. The opportunity is available as either a full-time permanent position or a part-time consulting arrangement, with flexibility to be discussed during the interview process. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will conduct comprehensive mapping of the grants landscape and results-based financing opportunities that align with Solar Panda's growth strategy and impact model. Your work will involve cultivating and nurturing relationships with development finance partners, government agencies, and institutional funders. You will develop compelling, competitive grant proposals and strategies that position Solar Panda for success, manage timelines and submission processes, and track outcomes to inform future funding approaches. Additionally, you will collaborate across departments to ensure grant requirements align with operational delivery and reporting capabilities.
