Position Overview As a Hospital Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow throughout our facility. You'll be responsible for safely transporting patients between departments, assisting medical staff with patient handling, and maintaining our transport equipment to the highest standards. This hands-on role requires someone who can work efficiently under pressure while treating every patient with dignity and respect. Your Key Responsibilities Transport patients safely between the operating theatre, recovery rooms, wards and other hospital departments Work alongside nurses and medical staff to assist with moving and positioning patients as needed Handle all patients with compassion, maintaining their dignity and comfort at all times Keep patient transport equipment such as stretchers and wheelchairs clean and ready for use Respond quickly to patient transfer requests Strictly adhere to hospital safety protocols and infection prevention measures What We're Looking For KCSE certificate or equivalent qualification Strong communication abilities and excellent interpersonal skills Physical fitness and capacity to assist with patient transfers safely Genuine compassion, reliability and commitment to patient safety Previous experience working in a hospital environment (preferred but not essential) If you are a dedicated individual ready to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives, we encourage you to apply.
