Information Technology Help Desk Technician
Solvo Global Careers is seeking a talented Tier 1 IT Helpdesk Support Agent to join our growing team in Nairobi, Kenya.
Position Overview
We're looking for a proactive IT professional with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in helpdesk, IT support, or managed service provider (MSP) environments. If you're skilled at troubleshooting technical issues, managing user support requests, and thrive in a dynamic on-site role, we want to hear from you.
Location and Work Arrangement
This is an on-site position based in Nairobi, Kenya. You'll be working directly with our support team to deliver excellent customer and internal IT support.
Language Requirements
You must be fluent in English at C1 level.
Core Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should bring the following competencies:
• Proven experience working in IT Support, Helpdesk, MSP, or HSIA environments
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems
• Solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi protocols
• Hands-on experience managing Active Directory and user accounts
• Demonstrated proficiency with IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or ConnectWise
Desirable Qualifications
While not essential, the following would strengthen your application:
• Industry certifications including CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL, or Microsoft Fundamentals
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
• Familiarity with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
