Personnel Officer Company: KAPI LIMITED - KENYA Join Kapi Limited, a well-established Kenyan manufacturing company with over 250 employees, and take the lead in transforming our human resources function. We're seeking an experienced Personnel Officer to establish structured HR operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a thriving workplace culture across our organization. This is a fixed-term position for one year, offering you the chance to make meaningful contributions by transitioning our HR practices from informal processes to comprehensive, strategic systems that benefit both employees and management. Your Responsibilities You'll manage the full spectrum of personnel operations including recruitment, employee onboarding, and record keeping. You'll champion compliance with Kenyan labour laws and company policies, working closely with management to support performance reviews and identify training opportunities. Employee relations will be central to your role, including managing grievances, disciplinary matters, and fostering constructive dialogue. You'll also develop and maintain comprehensive HR documentation, including an Employee Handbook and organizational policies, while actively promoting open communication and a positive workplace environment. What We Need From You You should hold a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with professional HR certification such as CHRP or CIPD being highly desirable. Bring at least three years of HR management experience, preferably in manufacturing environments. A solid understanding of Kenyan employment law is essential, along with exceptional communication skills, leadership ability, and a talent for problem solving. Your ability to build relationships and navigate complex people issues will be crucial to your success.
