REGIONAL PARTNER, AFRICA — ACCION DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION About This Opportunity Sokify partners with leading organizations transforming financial inclusion across emerging markets. Accion Impact Management (AIM), a registered investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, is seeking an accomplished investment professional to lead digital transformation initiatives across Africa. Accion Digital Transformation (ADTx) partners with financial service providers to unlock growth through digitization, enabling them to serve underbanked populations more effectively while improving operational efficiency. This role places you at the center of that mission, managing a portfolio representing approximately 25% of ADTx's total investible capital while building relationships with co-investors and portfolio companies. What You'll Do As the Africa Regional Partner, you will drive the complete investment lifecycle from deal sourcing through successful exit. Your core responsibilities include: INVESTMENT STRATEGY AND EXECUTION Lead end-to-end portfolio management across Africa, identifying equity investment targets aligned with ADTx's impact mission and digital transformation focus. You will conduct comprehensive financial analysis, developing detailed models and valuations to evaluate opportunities and report findings to our Investment Committee. You will structure and negotiate deals, ensuring all transactions maintain compliance with ESG policies and regulatory requirements. PORTFOLIO LEADERSHIP Manage the equity portfolio with strategic oversight, executing responsible commercial exit strategies and providing ongoing valuation and reporting support to operations and finance teams. You will develop and implement digitization strategies alongside our digital transformation team, working with target companies to create roadmaps for technology-driven growth. STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT Provide strategic guidance to portfolio companies on critical initiatives including business alliances, capital raising, ESG compliance, and digital transformation. You will serve on portfolio company boards as appropriate, influencing management and board-level decision-making as a trusted strategic advisor. You will represent ADTx in local African markets and globally, building strong co-investment partnerships and representing the organization at industry events and knowledge-sharing forums. TEAM CONTRIBUTION Support the broader ADTx team on global initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of excellence, respect, and commitment to social impact. You may mentor and develop an Investment Analyst as the portfolio and market opportunities expand. Who You Are You bring 15+ years of progressive investment experience, with substantial depth in private equity focused on financial institutions and fintech across African markets. You possess a demonstrated track record of originating, leading, and successfully exiting investments in the region. Your expertise spans financial services operating models, regulatory environments, and competitive dynamics across African markets. You have proven success designing and implementing digital strategies for financial inclusion, with strong understanding of innovation in serving underserved populations. Entrepreneurial experience is a significant advantage. You excel at defining and executing regional investment strategies, building proprietary deal pipelines, identifying emerging investment themes, and aligning activity with organizational impact objectives. Your analytical rigor is matched by strong investment judgment—you lead thorough due diligence processes, structure complex transactions, and consistently deliver both financial and impact outcomes. Beyond individual investment acumen, you demonstrate exceptional leadership capability. You influence board and senior management decision-making, mentor investment professionals, and contribute to collaborative, high-performance team environments. You build and mobilize networks across peers, stakeholders, and decision makers, creating opportunities and driving results through relationship strength. You communicate with executive presence, capable of influencing diverse stakeholders and delivering compelling senior-level presentations. You operate with high autonomy while collaborating seamlessly within a global, matrixed organization. You embody values of excellence, respect, and genuine passion for social change. Qualifications Master's degree in business, finance, or related field required. Fluency in English is essential; French language skills are advantageous. You maintain strong oral and written communication abilities and demonstrate an exceptional capacity to build and leverage relationships across investors, partners, and industry leaders. What to Expect This role requires estimated travel of 25-35% annually, with movement throughout Africa and select international locations.
