Our Nairobi office houses approximately 50 staff managing critical global functions including procurement, recruitment, government relations, and communications. THE OPPORTUNITY You will be responsible for ensuring the precise weighing of all commodities entering and leaving our facility while maintaining complete and accurate primary documentation for site transit operations. This role is fundamental to our supply chain integrity and financial accuracy. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Weighbridge Operations and Accuracy You will operate weighbridge software to accurately capture Gross, Tare, and Net weights for all transport vehicles. You will implement and maintain a rigorous Calibration Protocol for all scales to prevent financial losses stemming from measurement inaccuracies, data entry errors, or deliberate misreporting. Your role includes enforcing strict protocols governing vehicle positioning and driver behavior during the weighing process, while continuously monitoring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures across both sourcing and logistics functions to maintain compliance with zero tolerance for deviations. Documentation and Financial Control You will verify that the volume of commodities purchased in the field matches precisely with the volume received at our factory gate. You will design, implement, and maintain robust controls within collection logs to guarantee data integrity throughout the field-to-hub journey. You will issue official weighbridge tickets and validate that they align exactly with delivery notes and farmer payment records. You will identify inventory discrepancies and non-conformances, then collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective measures that address root causes of shrinkage. Safety and Governance You will manage the flow of vehicles through the weighbridge area to prevent congestion while ensuring all drivers comply with mandatory site Personal Protective Equipment requirements. You will oversee OSHA safety governance for all non-staff personnel on-site, including conducting mandatory safety inductions and verifying PPE compliance. You will conduct regular sanitary audits of transport fleets to prevent cross-contamination and pest infestation risks. You will verify that incoming vehicles meet required cleanliness standards before granting them access to the weighbridge.
