Credit Group Manager

CREDIT GROUP MANAGER Sokify is seeking an experienced Credit Group Manager to join our Risk Management team. This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Credit Group Manager. ABOUT THE ROLE You will lead credit underwriting and management activities for our institutional client relationships, serving as a senior approval authority for large and complex transactions. Your primary focus will be overseeing a portfolio of relationships across assigned regions and industries, ensuring robust credit analysis, risk assessment, and first-line approval processes. You will drive consistent application of credit standards while supporting periodic reviews, material transactions, and ad-hoc portfolio assessments in partnership with our front office and risk teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will execute comprehensive underwriting responsibilities including adopting and implementing leading practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring throughout the complete transaction lifecycle—from initial discussions through credit approval memo development and senior approval forums. Your duties will encompass detailed financial analysis review, due diligence assessment, projection modeling, stress testing, risk rating evaluation, and oversight of complex analytical work performed by junior team members. You will review and approve Credit Approval Memo packages, partner with front office colleagues on term sheet structuring for new transactions, and maintain key relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, regulators, and control functions including Internal Audit. WHAT YOU BRING You possess 10 or more years of risk and credit-related experience in banking or financial institutions, with proven expertise in senior credit approval for large and complex underwritings involving multiple industries and significant capital commitments. You understand capital markets products, sophisticated financing structures, and global credit risk management standards. Your analytical capabilities enable you to stress test portfolios, identify emerging risks, and provide strategic insights on macroeconomic and regulatory issues. You navigate complex organizational environments effectively, breaking down silos and building strong partnerships across business segments, geographies, and risk functions. You have demonstrated success engaging with regulators, internal audit teams, and external auditors while maintaining impeccable ethics and integrity. Your communication skills—both written and verbal—are exceptional, and you excel at presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences. You thrive making sound decisions under pressure with tight timelines. You hold a Bachelor's degree at minimum; a Master's degree is preferred.
