Job Description

PHYSICAL DISTRIBUTION MANAGER - OPERATIONS About Us L'Oréal is more than a beauty brand — we're architects of how the world experiences beauty. Operating across 150 markets on five continents, we've built a legacy of innovation and excellence over more than a century. With consolidated sales exceeding €42 billion, we lead the global beauty industry while championing sustainability and creating meaningful societal impact. The Role Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll take charge of all physical distribution flows — both inbound and outbound — and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to keep our supply chain running flawlessly. You'll optimize logistics performance across our global network, drive cost efficiency, and maintain rigorous service and quality standards while upholding strict internal controls. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities You'll oversee third-party logistics partnerships with distribution centers, transportation providers, and customs agents, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and operational standards. You'll streamline warehousing, transportation, and distribution processes to meet critical business targets. Your analytical work will track physical distribution performance across all areas — identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective solutions. You'll negotiate costs and service levels, keeping expenses lean without compromising quality. You'll be the bridge connecting supply chain, customer service, operations teams, and business partners, ensuring logistics strategies align with organizational goals. When logistics challenges emerge, you'll solve them quickly to minimize disruption. You'll ensure full compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and L'Oréal's sustainability commitments. Leading continuous improvement across our distribution network, you'll integrate Industry 4.0 standards and sustainable practices into our operations. What We're Looking For We need a proactive leader with substantial expertise in logistics, distribution center management, supplier relations, and customs operations — ideally with 5+ years in FMCG or related industries. You're skilled at negotiating with 3PL providers and holding partners accountable to performance metrics. You have proven capability managing operational budgets while maintaining service excellence. You're fluent in ERP systems, particularly SAP, and excel at data analysis. Your cross-functional leadership skills help you align diverse stakeholders and resolve complex supply issues methodically. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field with demonstrated expertise in physical distribution, warehousing, inventory management, transportation operations, customs clearance, and quality and safety management. Why Join L'Oréal You'll get real responsibility from day one — no probation period where you're sidelined. We actively encourage you to step outside your comfort zone, experiment with new approaches, and take calculated risks. You'll work within an inclusive environment where people from every background, ethnicity, age, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ability are celebrated and empowered to thrive. Your work contributes to something larger than profit — many of our brands drive societal and environmental causes that create concrete, measurable difference. Commitment to Fair Hiring L'Oréal is committed to equitable, ethical recruitment. We strictly prohibit discrimination based on gender identity, sexual orientation, disabilities, socioeconomic background, cultural origin, health status, age, religion, or any legally protected characteristic.
